MUURBREKERS

Netherlands foundation Muurbrekers or ‘Wallbreakers’ is a tribute to the Dutch ships that sailed from Holland to Germany in 1987 passing right through the Berlin wall. Muurbrekers would successfully return with sections some 25 years later and exhibit newly decorated pieces on the same day the wall fell in 1989.

Breakthrough Branding

Muurbrekers founder Willem Piet briefed us that their branding should be geared toward portraying an iconic and revolutionary style, strong enough to evoke emotions of peace and freedom.

Our influences were championed by historic graphic design and liberation circa 1987, with help from these styles we collated the final logo aesthetic and colorway.
